During the surgery, your surgeon will create a cut by a scalpel or laser in your eye to take out the cloudy lens and replace it with an artificial clear intraocular lens. The procedure usually lasts for 30 to 45 minutes and hence you should be able to go home on the same day. Then a protective shield will be placed on your eye to keep it safe in the early stage of healing.
How much does the procedure cost?
