Dr. Navaneeth S Kamath after completion of MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal 2005-2011 and his postgraduation in M.S (Orthopaedics) from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore from 2011-2014, he persued his further training in Orthopaedic Oncology from the prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai from 2016-2019. Dr. Navaneeth strives on education of young orthopaedic surgeons in awareness of bone and soft tissue tumors and at the same time provides quality orthopaedic oncology surgical services at Heafford Orthopaedic set-up and also works as free lancer.The surgical services have been consistent in providing aggressive intralesional surgeries in benign-aggressive bone lesions, major limb salvage surgeries in adult and paediatric population which also constitutes non-biologic reconstruction with metallic prosthesis(megaprosthesis), biologic reconstruction using ECRT (extra-corporeal radiotherapy), cryotherapy(liquid nitrogen sterilisation of tumor bone), autograft and allograft reconstruction, physis sparing surgical procedure in paediatric tumor, expandable prosthesis, rotationplasty and limb ablative surgeries when a limb salvage is not an option. The department also tends surgical services for metastatic bone lesions and malignant skin tumors. The department runs hand in hand with a trained physiotherapy team, clinical psycologist for physcial rehabilitation and care of mental health in cancer patients respectively.
