About Me

Dr. KR Vinayakumar is a distinguished Gastroenterologist in Kerala with over three decades of experience in medical practice and academics. He is currently Dean of Travancore Medicity, Medical College in Kollam and Director of the Digestive Disease Centre at Lords Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. He was formerly Vice Principal of Medical College, Trivandrum, as well as Professor & Head of its Gastroenterology Department. He continues to hold executive positions on several committees and medical associations in the region. In the past Dr. Vinayakumar has held the posts of Dean of Kerala University; Chairman of the National Board of Examinations (for Gastroenterology) and President of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology (Kerala Chapter), among others. Dr. KR Vinayakumar has been an active researcher and a regular participant in national and international conferences throughout his medical career. He has over 40 papers to his name in peer-reviewed journals and has contributed chapters to four medical textbooks. Dr. Vinayakumar has also delivered over 50 lectures and presentations at conferences pertaining to his field of specialisation, in India and abroad.
