Acute is the one which can be caused by travel or a traumatic experience. It only lasts for the short term.

But the chronic one is long-lasting means about one or two months.

If you are affected by this, your breathing will be interrupted while you sleep. So you have to wake up quickly and take a pause to return to normal condition. If this occurs repeatedly and is left unchecked, it can cause high blood pressure and heart attack.

Here are the three conditions for this.

  • Obstructive sleep apnea occurs when your airway is blocked and the muscles in your throat relax.
  • Central sleep apnea works the opposite way. Your airway functions properly, but it is your brain that fails to tell the body to breathe.
  • Complex sleep apnea syndrome is a combination of both obstructive sleep apnea and central sleep apnea.

REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD)

It is a different type of disorder where the affected person becomes a dream out. They will move their limbs and act out of their dreams. It is more likely to create a disturbance to the other people in the house. These people can go up and move around without being aware.

Alcohol is a sedative in nature. So it can to frequent arousals and arrogant nights without sleep.

Limit naps
