2. Consume enough Water

As we all know, the human body is made up of 50-70% water. Our body needs water for all the organs to hydrate cells and tissues. Water helps to carry oxygen to cells and as a result, it helps in the proper functioning of the body. It also removes toxic contents from our body, thus keeping our immune system healthy. 

Water maintains our body at the correct temperature without which our body cannot function properly. According to studies, a male requires 2.5 liters of water per day and a female requires 2 liters of water per day.

Consumption of lukewarm water is highly recommended after a meal. This is because warm water has the capability of breaking down the food particles and thus making them easily digestible.

3. Get enough Sleep 

Sleep is one of the most important pillars of life. Lack of sleep and irregular sleep can cause many health issues as well as a low immune system. Lack of sleep can put us at the risk of obesity, increased blood pressure, and many other health issues. Sleep is as important as food. 

The best time to sleep is from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. If you are used to an irregular sleep time you can follow the above-mentioned ideal sleep time. It may seem a little hard at first, but with regular practice, you can achieve this schedule.

4. Yoga and Exercise

It is very important to practice Yoga and exercise regularly to strengthen up your immune system. Yoga is an effective practice because it improves your physical as well as your immune strength. 

Yoga involves meditation which can strengthen your mind, body, and soul. It is an effective way to improve your attention and memory too. Stress may be one of the reasons for low immunity. If done regularly, Yoga lowers the stress hormones and improves your immunity.

Any kind of physical activity like jogging, swimming, and skipping can make the body more active, thus resulting in improved physical, mental, and immune health. Exercise can flush out bacteria and other disease-causing pathogens from your lungs, making you less prone to illness. Engaging in physical activities can also benefit us in many ways such as :

  • Keeps your heart healthy thus protecting against heart attacks
  • Lowers the risk of type 2 diabetes
  • Helps to develop stronger bones and joints

How long does it take to boost immunity?
